We opened for business shortly after we had our first baby.
Our midwife suggested that we hire a TENS machine to help with the pain of labour, but we struggled to find a company that would hire one to us, and we didn't want the expense of buying one.
Once we did manage to find a reputable Maternity Tens machine, and used it for pain relief whilst giving birth to our daughter, we realised that other mums would benefit from using one too, and started this business to offer that service.
As are pleased to offer 'mums to be' a friendly, efficient and very competitively priced service.Maternity TENS / Obstetric machines are becoming a very popular choice for expectant mums who either want to try to use as few drugs as possible for the birth, or those who just want every type of pain relief available to them !
Most women find a Maternity / Obstetric TENS machine very effective and easy to use. Some like it better than other forms of pain relief because they retain control and there has never been any suggestion of any harm to either mother or baby from the use of one.
First time Mums may need stronger forms of pain relief as labour progresses, second and third time around Mums report finding using a Maternity / Obstetric TENS machine a very effective method of pain relief used just by itself.
Once we have received your completed order form, your payment and your deposit, we will despatch your Maternity / Obstetric TENS machine directly to your home, three weeks before your due date.
It is ideal to try out the TENS machine in this period before labours starts. If you have less than two weeks to go, we are happy to arrange a 'Special Delivery' next day service for an additional charge of £6.05 per order (this is the price that 'The Royal Mail' charge us).
If your baby arrives later than expected, please give us a call, and we will extend the hire period by one week with advance notice. This allows us to ensure that we have sufficient machines available for other 'Mums to Be'
After this initial free week, we will charge £5 per subsequent week, until the Maternity / Obstetric TENS machine is returned.

W.E.E.E. Compliance Statement
The government appointed a body of people who have threatened court and fines if we don't include this information on our website.
We have been encouraged to join a WEEE scheme, for which we have to pay a substantial sum of money, which goes to the local council.
The government and local council already get enough of my money and they already get enough of yours, through VAT, Council Tax, Corporation Tax, Income Tax etc and we do not want to have to raise our prices to cover this, and so we haven't joined the scheme, but I think we are WEEE compliant anyway, by including the following that no-one will ever read.
Most of it is cut and paste from elsewhere, and so apologies for the lack of care over how this looks, but I don't actually care how it looks.
I hasten to add that the following is included on our website for no other reason than it is a legal requirement that we do so.
It won't win any prizes from the 'plain English society' I assure you, and if there is any grass growing nearby, watching that might me more interesting than reading this.
Here we go then...
I have to tell you, under 'regulation 33', that:
There is a requirement on each member state under article 2 of the directive to minimise the disposal of WEEE as unsorted municipal waste and to achieve a high level of collection of WEEE for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal.
Exciting stuff eh?
If you liked that, you'll love this...

The crossed out wheeled bin symbol is not intended to indicate to you that WEEE is banned from being disposed of as general waste. Moreover, the intention behind the symbol is that, when coupled with information supplied by distributors as to the availability of recycling facilities, you will be reminded that these facilities exist throughout the UK.
Since 13 August 2005 producers are required by UK law to ensure that the crossed out wheeled bin symbol is printed in a visible, legible and indelible form on the product itself, except for in exceptional cases where this is not possible because of the size or function of the product. In such cases, the symbol must be printed on the packaging, the instructions for use and the accompanying warranty (where applicable).
Collection and Take Back of WEEE products.
Five Thirty Five Ltd are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like for like basis when you buy from us a new Electrical or Electronic product.
We will take responsibility for the correct storage and transportation of said WEEE to a recognised WEEE disposal site. Five Thirty Five Ltd will, because we have to, cover the cost of the correct disposal and storage prior to disposal of said items.
All returns must be agreed and arranged with Five Thirty Five Ltd prior to dispatch.
Our contribution
By doing this we are contributing to the re-use, recycling and other forms of recovery of WEEE under these regulations. (Apparently)
Potential Hazardous Effects
We are told that there are lots of these (potential hazardous effects) on the environment and human health as a result of the presence of hazardous substances in EEE
Well, there you go...those of you that got this far, give yourself a pat on the back .
In short :
Electrical stuff might have some bad things in it so it needs to be disposed of properly.
TENS Machines and Pelvis Floor Stimulators are electrical, so who knows ?
If you bought one of those, or anything else that could be described as 'E.E.E.'('Electrical and Electronic Equipment') from us, then when you get rid of it, it becomes 'W.E.E.E.' (the 'W' stands for 'waste', the rest you can guess at) and it therefore needs to be disposed of correctly.
You could do this yourself, but if you'd rather not, then contact us, as we have to get rid of it for you, in the correct way. Which we will do, and we won't charge you for it.
Bye for now.
